This contrada, at an elevation of 692 m, lies a short distance from Lumini.
According to old Austrian land records, the contrada was once known as “Lumini di là” (or “Lumini over there”).
A majestic secular chestnut tree stands nearby, scarred by a bolt of lightning. Inside you’ll find a rustic shrine dedicated to “Madonna del castagnàr” (or “Virgin Mary of the chestnut tree”): a festivity in her name is celebrated on August 15th with a religious celebration to protect all the famers.
