Prada Alta (1060 m) is the centre of the valley. It has always been the town that has acted as the heart of the entire valley. It sits on a unique plateau that gently divides the valley before blending back into mountains. It’s characterized by both old and new houses, and is the tourism centre of the valley, as well as the destination of the Costabella ski runs (which stretch from 1060 m in Prada to the peak of Costabella at 2218 m).
