Contrada Castello (Castle)

The Austrian land registry indicates that Castello once belonged to the municipality of Cervi di Montagna, which today is Tenuta Cervi. The name Castello (or Castle) comes from the fact that there used to be an ancient manor here, which most likely belonged to the Scaligera family. Today only a few ruins remain in the small village of Pusterna.

The contrada is made up of an old nucleus of stone buildings, many of which have been restored, still maintaining their original characteristics. The small church, on the other hand, was built more recently.

Its dominant position overlooking Lake Garda makes it an excellent panoramic viewpoint.
