To reach this lovely, large contrada North of Ca’ Schena, you must pass a bridge that spans Valle delle Fontane (Valley of the Fountains), named after a fountain that feeds three basins where women used to come to wash clothes.
The contrada, on the other hand, gets its name from the family that used to live here and from the fact that tailors (“sartori”) were once present here.
The highlight of this contrada is a beautiful large court that is enhanced by several archivolts, with stone houses characterized by external staircases leading to the living quarters situated above a stable on the ground floor.
The contrada has undergone restorations that have carefully preserved the original architectural characteristics, thus maintaining its original charm.
